Full-Time RV Travel

We traveled full time in our RV for over 8 years when our kids were 6, 4, 4 and 2 until they were 14, 12, 12 and 10. We visited 48 states, Canada and Mexico in our RV’s. Over the years we have owned 5 different RV’s! Below we share the content we have put together about full-time RVing to help you see if this lifestyle is right for you!

Before we share all of the content I want to point out some top posts and walk you through our journey to, on and after full-time RVing with our 4 kids.

Before I do that though I have to share the book I wrote: Full-Time RVing With Kids An Insiders Guide To Life On The Road. I wrote the book after we had been RVing full-time for 7+ years. You can check it out here.

If you want to jump right in with all the info here is our post: RV Living: The Ultimate Guide After 8+ Years On The Road

The next post is an overview of How We Became A Full Time RV Family. This was back in 2014 when our kids were 6, 4, 4 and 2. Looking back I still can’t believe we pulled it off!

Here is a great post on 14 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Making the Decision To Full Time Travel With Your Family.

One of the biggest questions people ask is how do you afford to travel full time. Here is a post on Making 6 Figures From The Road Using Multiple Income Streams. We also have another post on making money on the road that we had another full time RVer write for us to give you a different perspective: How To Make A Successful Income While Full Time RVing

The next one I want to share is a post to help you with Everything You Need To Know To Pick The Best Family RV. We have been in 6 RV’s and this post goes into detail on the pros and cons of each to help you pick the right rig for your family. At one point we downsized from a 39 foot motorhome to a 23 foot Class C. Here is our post Why We Decided To Downsize Our RV.

School: We are an Unschooling family and still don’t have it all figured out so we like to point you to our favorite: Unschooling Resources.

When we first started we wrote posts about our experience during each year. You can check those out here:

RV Living With Kids – What We’ve Learned After 2 Years

Year 3 you can find at the end of the RV Living post I mentioned above.

After that I stopped writing these recaps. Of course now I wish I would have kept going with them!

We also talk about the things we love about full time RVing, the things we hate about it and add in some humor with our posts 18 Lies Full-Time RVers Tell Themselves and 11 Ways You Know You Have Fulltime RV Kids.

The last post we’ll share is Getting Off The Road After 8 Years Of Full Time Travel.

Those are a few of our posts on Full Time RVing, you can find the rest below!
