11 Unique S’mores Recipes [Plus Shopping List]

S’mores are the a classic campfire treat. You can pronounce it Some mores or smores, s’more, or s mores in the end it doesn’t really matter all that matters is that gooey yummy goodness you are enjoying around the campfire!

Some may argue that you shouldn’t mess with the perfection of the chocolate, marshmallow, graham cracker combo. But I am all about pushing the limits and trying new, unique and different combinations!

Tools To Have

S'mores tools and items

There are some pretty sweet s’mores tools out there. From the sticks you use, to boxes with everything in it and more.

Tree Sticks/Branches

In all honestly all you really need are a few sticks or branches from a tree. This also means you don’t have to clean the sticks when you are done you can just toss them in the fire!

Tip: If you plan to go this route you should burn the ends of the stick before you start to get any nasty stuff off of them. You can also wittle the end of the stick down if you want to remove any bark.

Bamboo Sticks

If the idea of using sticks from a tree freak you out a bit. Don’t stress you can order some 30 inch bamboo sticks instead. Just like with the tree sticks you can toss these in the fire when you are done so you don’t have to mess with cleaning them.

Telescoping Forks

If you want something a bit more fancy you can try these telescoping forks. 12 come in a bag and they telescope out to 32 inches.

Roasting Reel

Add a bit more fun to your s’moring with a roasting reel! It’s like fishing when you are roasting or marshmallow.

Ok now that we have all the accessories we need let’s get to the s’mores recipes! The idea with these was to stick close the classic but just change a few things out. The recipes do not need to stop here!

If you have a favorite cookie, chocolate or candy grab it and give it a go! These recipes are ideas but they are not meant to be followed exactly all the time. Instead use them as a base and ideas for getting started. Once you start go for it and try different combinations and see what you can come up with.

If you plan to prepare a lot of different options at once you may want to have a baking sheet on hand to hold all the s’mores. Unless it is like my kids and once they are done they just eat them!

Fudge Stripe

Fudge Stripe s'mores recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 Fudge Stripe Cookies
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Put the marshmallow on the Fudge Stripe cookie, top with the other cookie, pour caramel sauce over the s’more and eat!

Kit Kat

Kit Kat Smore recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 Graham Crackers
  • Kit Kats
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full graham cracker in half so you have 2 graham cracker squares. Prepare the graham cracker by adding 4 Kit Kat sticks to one side of the graham cracker have the other side of the graham cracker ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the Kit Kat that is on the graham cracker and put the other graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Almond Joy

Ingredients:

  • 2 Graham Crackers
  • 2 Bite Size Almond Joy bars
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full graham cracker in half. Prepare the graham cracker by adding 2 bit size almond joys to one side of the graham cracker have the other side of the graham cracker ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the almond joys that are on the graham cracker and put the other graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Cookies and Cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 Graham Crackers
  • Half a Hershey’s Cookies and Cream candy bar
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full graham cracker in half. Prepare the graham cracker by adding half a Hershey’s cookies and cream candy bar to one side of the graham cracker have the other side of the graham cracker ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the Cookies and Cream candy bar that is on the graham cracker and put the other graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Reeses

Reese's smore

Ingredients:

  • 2 Reese’s
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Take 2 full size Reese’s peanut butter cups and set them aside. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on one of the Reese’s cups and put the other Reese’s cup on top and carefully pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Oreos

Ingredients:

  • 2 Oreos
  • Hersheys Bar
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

You will need 2 Oreos. Prepare the Oreos by adding a piece of a Hersheys chocolate bar to one of the Oreos and have the other Oreo ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the chocolate bar that is on the Oreo and put the other Oreo on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Sandies

Pecan Sandies Smores recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 Pecan Sandies cookies
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Take 2 Pecan Sandies Cookies. Pour caramel on one of them. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the cookie that has the caramel on it and put the other cookie on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Carson’s Special

Carson's special s'mores

Ingredients:

  • 1 Oreo
  • 1 Reeses
  • 2 Fudge Cookies
  • Fudge Sauce
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Split the Oreo cookie in half, add fudge sauce to the Oreo side with the least frosting, add a fudge cookie on top of the fudge sauce. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the fudge cookie and take the 2nd fudge cookie to put on top to pull the marshmallow off the stick, add an upside down Reeses Peanut Butter cup, and the other half of the Oreo cookie and enjoy this chocolate covered goodness!

Classic S’mores

Ingredients:

  • Graham Cracker
  • Milk Chocolate Hersheys Bar
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full graham cracker in half. Prepare the graham cracker by adding half a Hersheys bar (a square of chocolate) to one side of the graham cracker have the other side of the graham cracker ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the piece of chocolate that is on the graham cracker and put the other graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Caramel

Caramel s'mores recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cinnamon and Sugar Graham Crackers
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full cinnamon and sugar graham cracker in half. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the graham cracker, pour caramel sauce on the marshmallow and put the remaining graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

Mint S’mores

Ingredients:

  • Graham Cracker
  • 2 Grasshopper Cookies
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full graham cracker in half so you have 2 graham cracker halves. Prepare the graham cracker by adding 1 grasshopper cookie to one side of the graham cracker have the other side of the graham cracker ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount. Place the marshmallow on the grasshopper cookie that is on the graham cracker and put the other graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!

**This also works well with Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies!

Reeses Crunch

Ingredients:

  • Graham Cracker
  • Reeses Peanut Butter Cup
  • Marshmallow

Instructions:

Break a full graham cracker in half. Prepare the graham cracker by adding a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup to one side of the graham cracker have the other side of the graham cracker ready to go. Roast the marshmallow to your desired amount – golden brown, barely roasted or almost burnt – whatever you prefer. Place the toasted marshmallow on the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup that is on the graham cracker and put the other graham cracker half on top and pull the marshmallow off the stick and enjoy!
