Why Trust Our Guides?

Our goal is to make the planning of your trip easier, less stressful, and more affordable!

We’re Craig and Bryanna Royal, authors of Crazy Family Adventure, a family travel blog. We spent 8 awesome years on the road, traveling full-time with our 4 kids. We understand first-hand what goes into planning a trip, whether you’re bringing the family along or traveling solo.

That’s why we created these helpful guides. We absolutely LOVE visiting Utah and it was a highlight of our travels. We think everyone deserves to experience this amazing place without the stress and hours of planning, and without the expensive costs of paying for a guided tour or an all-inclusive package.

While all activities we’ve included are kid-friendly, the daily itineraries are for people of all ages. We’ve traveled with grandparents and with seasoned hikers. We’ve detailed each trail with the distance, skill level, and time to allow.

The guides include important links to the National Park website so that you can easily check for current conditions and closures at the time of your visit.

This guide starts in Moab and makes its way down to Zion with stops in all 5 Utah National Parks, a state park and a national monument!

You could do this trip any time of year. But we recommend doing it in the fall (September/October) or spring (late March/April/May).

We recommend driving to Utah so you can take your car out on dirt roads (a lot of the cool things are at the end of a dirt road :)). But if you have to fly in you can fly into Salt Lake City, Utah or Las Vegas.

My worst fear? Spending a ton of time and money heading to one of our “bucket list” destinations… only to find out afterward that we missed that special hike, that must-see view, that amazing pull off.

With the CFA guides, I don’t worry. In fact… I don’t even have to pre-plan. The hikes they suggested were magnificent… plus restaurants, maps, and the step-by-step guidance… worth every penny (and then some!)
